Showcase Cinemas is a chain of movie theatres with operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Argentina. It has 29 locations in the US alone and has more than 950 movie screens worldwide.
The company recently launched a new brand, the Cinema de Lux which offers unique amenities, state-of-the-art projections, and contemporary dining experience. This was introduced all over the US while there are four De Lux cinemas in the UK.

History
Showcase Cinemas is a division of National Amusements, founded by Michael Redstone in 1986. The following year, his son, Sumner Redstone, became the new president and CEO.
Redstone made multiple acquisitions including Paramount Communications, Nickelodeon, and MTV. Redstone also gained control of powerful TV networks, CBS Corporation and Viacom, which owns Paramount Pictures.
The company also has an exclusive contract with MovieTickets.com about the selling of movie tickets. Customers can purchase their tickets online and then pick them up at the theatre.
National Amusements prides itself with a slogan “Welcome to the Show” since 2000 and they expanded ever since. The Cinema de Lux brand was awarded by the AV Awards with “Digital Signage Project of the Year 2008.”

Showcase cinema also featured in-theatre dining, especially in the Cinema de Lux brand. The locations offer a wide range of food choices from full-service restaurants to traditional concession stands.
The SuperLux Dining offers an In-Seat menu with entrees and daily specials made by their very own Chef. Lux Level is an In-Theatre experience wherein the seats are equipped with a server call button.
There are also restaurants, bars, and food court at the lounge and lobby area where customers can buy different kinds of food. The restaurants offer lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks.
The food court offers outside food brands like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, Nathans Famous® hot dogs, Famous Famiglia Pizza®, and Starbucks™ latte. The concession stands are also available for classic movie food like popcorn, soft drinks, and nachos.

Showcase Cinemas also value the loyalty of their customers. In return, they developed the Starpass Movie Rewards Program. Each purchase of tickets, food, and other things at the theatre has a corresponding point. Accumulated points can be used to claim freebies like popcorn and movie ticket.
The company also support different foundations like Dimensions which supports children with autism. The theatre holds autism-friendly film screenings every month.
