History
The company’s first cinema opened in 1963 and consisted of 14 auditoriums, including the Cinerama Dome. It is located at Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
It was also internationally recognized as the biggest film projection screen at that time. With this theater, ArcLight was considered one of the leading innovators in the cinema industry.
More theaters were established by ArcLight in the next several years. ArcLight Hollywood opened in March 2002. Subsequently, a second ArcLight theater was built in Sherman Oaks, California.
ArcLight expanded its operations as it opened other cinemas in several locations, including Beach Cities, La Jolla, and Pasadena in California.

ArcLight offers café menus to its guests. Movie-goers can choose from a selection of various appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts, beverages, and signature cocktails.
The specialties include grilled salmon, shrimp penne, Baja fish tacos, fish and chips, Kobe beef bolognese, steak and frites, chicken Milanese, and chipotle steak tacos.
ArcLight Cinemas also feature the Dolby Atmos audio system in its Bethesda, Chicago, La Jolla, Santa Monica, and Sherman Oaks cinemas. Dolby Atmos provides the audience an authentic and immersive experience. The Dolby Atmos system enables sound to move in three-dimensional space. It also presents a new sensation of height and allows viewers to hear movement overhead. ArcLight Cinemas aims to provide its guests the best sound quality so every crisp detail is heard with incredible clarity, detail, and depth.
High Frame Rate (HFR) films are also screened by ArcLight Cinemas. HFR movies displays films with more images per second as compared to a standard or regular print of a film.
As soon as the guests arrive at ArcLight, they enter an open-air lobby designed to decompress them from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.
ArcLight Cinemas also offer places where guests can unwind and lounge about. Movie-goers also have the option to explore shops selling books, music, and novelty gifts.

ArcLight offers various benefits to its guests through its ArcLight Membership program. For an annual membership fee of $15.00, ArcLight members can save $1.00 for each ticket purchased online.
Guests also earn points for every ticket purchased. These points may be redeemed at ArcLight’s box office, café, concessions, or gift shop.
ArcLight also features the ArcLight Presents… Program. ArcLight Presents… is a year-round program that shows various archival, digital, and first-run films. ArcLight members receive 2 free tickets for ArcLight Presents… movies, which are normally priced at over $28.00.
Seats of ArcLight’s cinemas are 3 inches wider than regular theater seats. These seats also include double-wide arm rests. Moreover, the cinemas also provide 46 inches of legroom.
