History
Founded in 1912 by Adolph Zukor, Cineplex started as Famous Players Film Corporation, eventually merging with Canadian Nathanson’s company to form Famous Players-Lasky Corporation. This merge was the beginning of the company’s operations in the Canadian state, eventually growing its empire through the years.
In the years after that, the company witnessed a series of mergers and acquisitions with different companies. All of these contributed to the exponential growth of the Cineplex of today. Cineplex has always been in close contact with what the viewers really want in a movie experience, and this is what built Cineplex through the years.
