Village Roadshow is the parent company of its founding entity, Village Cinemas. And in 1988, Warner Bros joined the chain and held 1/3 share in the company. It operated and pioneered screen brands including Cinema Europa, Vmax, and Gold Class while partnering with other global cinema chains.

After it was founded by Roc Kirby, Village Cinemas successfully expanded and developed a better cinema-going experience by creating more entertainment destinations intended to increase audiences. Now the CEO is Kirk Edwards.

Through new concepts created to make cinema experience more appealing to the market, Village Cinemas has provided true style of entertainment to people, not just in Melbourne but also to many parts of the world.
